Hello, old friends. It’s been a while. I’ve missed you! I hope this holiday season finds you well and full of anticipation for the weeks to come.
As you may know, it’s been a tough season in the Epling house. I have missed this little corner of the web we share here, but my time and attention were needed more at home, and I was glad to give them there. I’m sure we’ll talk more about that later, but I just wanted you to know that I am here. I am working. I am making my way back. My mojo is returning.
And in that spirit… I have an announcement.
A few Christmases ago, I was straightening up the boys’ room when I noticed their Fisher-Price nativity scene was missing something…
Of course, it couldn’t have been a donkey or a palm tree or even the plastic angel. No. We were missing THE CENTRAL FIGURE of the whole shebang. Surely this said something about my parenting, right?
The next year, this anecdote became a devotional for a parents’ night out at my church.
Last year, it became the launching point for a short series of Advent devotionals given to moms at my church.
And this year… Finding Jesus: A Christmas Devotional is available as a book!!!
This short devotional was written for you, the busy woman. The woman who wants to dig a little deeper this Christmas. The woman who longs to use the season to celebrate without losing sight of the Savior we are honoring. The woman with grand plans to do ALL THE THINGS every year, but who quickly gets overwhelmed and gives up. The woman who longs to find Jesus in a new way this Christmas.
But wait, there’s more! (I’ve always wanted to say that!) For you moms (or grandmas or super cool aunts), each entry is followed by a coordinating family lesson and activity. These will help the kids in your life to go deeper into their own walk with God and connect more with the reason we celebrate each December.
