A day in the life

a day in the life

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need to take life a little less seriously. I came across some great “funnies” from when my bigs were not-so-bigs, and I just wanted to share them with you…

Mealtime funnies…
Matt: “Mommy, this cucumber tastes funny. Do I have to eat it?”
Me: “That’s a potato.”
Matt: “Oh, OK then.” (Eats said “cucumber”)

GraceĀ (holding a mushroom from a piece of pizza): “This tastes like a lightning bug.”
I don’t even want to know why she knows how a lightning bug tastes.

Me: “Matt, please quit using your fingers and use your fork.”
Matt (looking all over the table): “Where is my fork?”
Me: “In your other hand.”

Me: “I need a few minutes to myself, please.”
Gracie: “Why? Are you going to pray about your attitude?”

Matt: “I need a better nickname. From now on, when you call me ‘Matt’, say it with just one ‘t’. And a silent ‘z’. At the beginning.”

Gracie: “What is that?”
Me: “A birthday present that Miss Stacy got for me. Wasn’t that nice?”
Gracie: “What is it?”
Me: “An angel.”
Gracie: “Can I have it?”

Gracie: “Mommy, GUESS WHAT! I just saw a REAL LIVE SQUIRREL!!!! Or maybe it was a skunk. I don’t know. But I didn’t smell anything.”

Yes, they drive me to the brink of insanity and then bring me back with laughter.
